Mavrodaphne of Patra.(Trevor Feb 2026)

Made from the mavrodaphne grape variety, it is sweet and very smooth. Terrific with creamy, chocolatey desserts and strong cheeses. Delicious on its own too. 15% volume as it is fortified. Light tannins. Primary notes for aroma and flavour are dried plums, figs, raisins and chocolate. Available from Tesco on the white wine section to the right of the boxed wine at less than £8. I have seen it advertised at £13.99. Enjoy.
